Before they could move on to the World Finals they first had to play in the World Cup representing EU against KFOt. They secured their spot to represent EU when they beat Tutorial Level in a clean 3-0 sweep. The World Cup Final was also a commanding performance by Imperial, sweeping the series 2-0 while losing only a single round across the nine-round match. After a decisive victory against KFOt in the Onward Season 16 World Cup Final by VRML, Imperial earned their spot in the grand finals against MAYHEM
